I did another cover that shows more what my concept is all about, which is modern eating habits. I stayed with my colors but ended doing a illustration.Which one should I use?
They are both really well designed! I like the color usage in both, you've created great contrast in the first. I'm drawn in because of the magenta arrow and Header, I would only suggest making the sub lines larger. Very Nice!
I think I remember correctly that your target audience is couples? I still think the first one speaks to them better. I like the idea of the second but I feel like its missing something, so I'm going to stick with the first in my opinion :)
I really like what you've done with the second one. The simplicity is working really well especially with only 3 colors. I am not sure what the dot in the mouth is though. It seems to almost create a bird out of the negative space which is very cool, intentional or not. My only issue is with 'magazine'. It seems out of place in this cover. What if it was horizontal under the last T in 'habitat'?
I really enjoy the second cover design that you did. The colors work very well with one another and pop off the page. This design has a simpler look to that I believe works better than your first one. Though the text you have in the bottom right corner is somewhat difficult to read and seems a bit small. I'd try a different color.
Two very different approaches... and they speak to different target audiences. The first design seems to speak to a general audience who enjoys time in the kitchen and is interested in creating beautiful food with healthy ingredients. This magazine ought to have recipes in it for adults to actually cook. Tagline readability will need to be addressed in this design - as Torri suggested above, enlarging the type will be necessary.
The second cover seems to speak to a young, hip audience in their early to late 20s who might even be in a college environmental science class. The dual image (bird/head) is incredibly clever and with some attention to making the type more readable, could be very successful. I don't think the placement of the word "magazine" is quite settled in this design... an easily addressed issue.
It all depends on what audience you want to speak to... and you'll need to continue speaking to that audience with all your content. I've given you most of the content for #2 design I think... but you'll need to find content for #1 design (recipes, etc).
