Here is my reworked version, I attached my previous as well to compare! Huge differences. The one with blue on the right is my first try.
I'm using a 7 column grid and I am targeting forward thinking young/middler age people who are interested in learning more about the food industry an the future of food!
An improvement - nice work. I have a question - are you emphasizing the photo credits too much? I think so... instead reduce them to 8pt type, and run them along the circular edge of the photos. Then... consider adding a pull quote to the right hand page, or captions, or another type of element to help activate that horizontal space between the photos. You do need to attend to the middle of that page, but not with photo credits!
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the choice of your photos, from the perspective, placement, and line of vision they create; with the use of choosing photos looking away and towards the reader. The right hand side of your page is captivating, and keeps my locked into the two text frames. I enjoy your use of fitting text frames around images, it is a great way to keep the readers interest in my opinion. I have to agree with Coni here and say that maybe the photo credits are kind of taking away from the look of your design, maybe placing it next to or around the photo? Great work
