Design Brief (REVISE PG1)

New color scheme, revised logo and narrowed down type choices. I am pleased with the new look.

  1. Ruby - I think your newly redefined target audience is a good idea. AND, even though your competitors have the same altruistic motives... they are still your competitors, so it's important that you differentiate the magazine from them.

I think your younger target audience will do this... so I applaud your use of a bright, energetic color in concert with your color palette for each issue. I also think your logo speaks well to this group of young, intelligent adults.

  2. I'm returning to say, you haven't convinced me that these 2 sans serifs will work well together. One is tall and lean, the other is square and contains a few quirks like thick/thins in connection areas. So... I'll wait to see how you intend to combine them. FYI - for this audience you could choose a 3rd or even 4th font... as long as they serve specific purposes and aren't mixed together in haphazard ways.

    1. I have been searching for a serifed typeface, but I haven't had any luck. Still looking. Open to suggestions always.

  3. love the overall flow of the design but the type and color choices for the name of magazine are really hard to read. try out different types of fonts.

    1. I have tried many different ones, bit nothing works as well as this design does. The green behind it is what I think the issue is in regards to what you're saying.
