PSA First Draft
For my PSA I decided to do an anti smoking ad. In it I've used a fact about deaths because of smoking.

  1. Torri - this looks terrific, and with a few tweaks it will be done I think:

    1. I would suggest that you take all the space between the words out, in the background. So it would read: QuiteSmokingQuitSmokingQuitSmoking, etc. That will take care of some of the awkward alignment that is happening between the background type and the foreground type and image. Careful consideration should be given to exactly how those words bleed onto the page and off again. Texture is what you are making in the background, so be aware of that abstract approach - and know that it's a really good idea as long as it is an even texture for the foreground to "sit" on.

    2. I wonder if the first line if type "Tobacco use, etc" should be a bit bigger? Notice that it should probably start with a capital "T". Don't hesitate to enlarge the italic word "combined"... we almost miss that emphasis... so you may need to be more bold with it (and you should, because it's the point of this line of type).

    3. Have you thought about the middle section list being indented, (as it is currently) but run together rather than in 2 columns? Maybe it could even use the "+" sign between the items because it is ALL of them combined that you are referring to... right? I think it's important that we see these items combined together, somehow, and not completely separate.

    4. Color - What do you want to emphasize? I think the last line is important, so that should be the contrasting color. Meanwhile, the top section with its list needs to be unified... so the same color used for both might make sense.

    Nice work!
