This is my new design brief. Last week in class, I received a lot of comments concerning my target audience being to broad. This week I have tried to narrow my initial target audience down to a specific group of people. Let me know what you think.
This rewritten and reconsidered brief is more clear than the one last week, and the resulting design decisions you have made here make sense for this young adult audience. But be careful that your muted colors do not, also, sit on a muted background... because more energy should be apparent in the design for this youngish audience. Right?
I notice you state that the magazine will "discuss how to prepare and utilize food"... well, the word "prepare" tends to mean cooking recipes will be included. But, I don't think this is where you want to take this content, based on your other statements. So, I'll assume at this point that the magazine discusses the issues that surround food systems, healthy living, good agricultural practices, and even broader lifestyle issues that might appear in future issues of the magazine.

Font makes total sense to me. Good work!
