For each of the different grids I choose to take a different approach. The second and third ones being my favorites because I like working uneven columns or number of columns.
Brianna - Nice work, and since you've mentioned that Grid B and C are your favorites, and I agree, I'll confine my thoughts to just those 2:
Grid B - I see some nice negative space around the heading, and your color break here helps us "see" the content - nice. I wonder if you would consider adding another image and/or pull quote to the right page... so help break up that long column of text. Think about using another circular photo, allowing it to overlap the vertical image at right, and wrapping text around it as it invades the text column? Think big and bold, because you have room for this article to go 3 and even 4 pages if you like. Also, you might want to include a folio and/or running head and/or running foot. BTW - the word "by" is usually lowercase, or at least not all caps.
Grid C - Here is an opportunity, because of the shapes in your photo, to allow some elements to travel across the gutter and unify the 2 pages. Consider enlarging the heading, and traveling across onto the right page. Also, add another image that does the same. The photo just "begs" to be overlapped on the right side near the gutter, doesn't it?
Currently the right page is too dense to be inviting to read. So, think about ways to lighten it up. Consider a grid that holds 2 even columns and a third smaller column - which might help you integrate negative space more often inside the page. Look at your margins, are they too small? Add other interesting elements to allow us to experience the content in ways beyond the reading.
